Whether you’ve been at the top of your game or are still climbing upwards, losing your mojo can be devastating and confusing. Sometimes something obvious knocks it out of you and other times it dwindles, slowly but surely, until you wake up one day feeling a bit dry and defeated.

Mojo is the special and sometimes elusive ingredient that give your life purpose and meaning as well as the energy and excitement to pursue those things. Mojo is the bounce in your step, the song in your heart, the thrust in your hips.

Sometimes mojo dries up in one area, sometimes it’s across the board. Often, if sexual mojo is affected and not addressed, mojo starts disappearing from other areas of life too. Sexual mojo is often the foundation for all other mojo.

You can also have work mojo, creative flow mojo, relationship mojo and general life mojo.


The good news is that you can always get your mojo back. Mojo doesn’t die as such, it just hides. Mojo gets buried under self doubt, exhaustion, lack of resources. Mojo might feel extinguished, but with help and practice, your mojo can be reawakened and reignited.

1. Do just one thing per day.

It can be overwhelming to think that in order to change your life and get your mojo back that you need to do a million things to make it happen. That kind of thinking will usually freeze you in your tracks and stop any potential action. Actually, a better way forward is to just start with one thing. What one thing can you do today to move you in the right direction? What one thing will improve your outlook, your health, your energy? Just make one good choice in the right direction every day.

2. Assume the Superman pose!

When you’re lacking in confidence and mojo, you tend to contract your body. Your shoulders droop and you collapse inwards trying to make yourself smaller. It’s a protective posture. It’s been scientifically proven that if you change your body and posture, you change your physiology which in turn changes your mind. Standing with your feet hip width apart, hands on hips, spine straight, neck straight and head up for just two minutes will lower your cortisol and raise your testosterone. This physiological combination makes you feel powerful without feeling stressed.

3. Do something out of the ordinary.

It is so easy to get stuck in a rut and think that that is your life forever! It’s really important to break out of your patterns and to see that actually, anything is possible. Go somewhere you’ve never been before, take that adult education class you’ve been thinking about or just take a different route to work. Getting a new perspective is like a breath of fresh air.

4. Get your sexy dancing on!

Put on some music that helps you get your groove on and then get moving! Don’t worry about what it looks like, just get your body moving and have some fun. Wiggle your hips and shake your booty. Allow your sexual energy to flow through you, lighting you up and reminding you who-you-really-are.

5. Start your day as you mean to go on.

How often do you wake up and feel a sense of dread at the day ahead? The thoughts you have first thing in the morning set you up for the rest of the day. Pre-pave your day by making positive statements before you get out of bed. Try something like, ‘Today is going to be an amazing day!’. That’s it. Say it out loud as if you mean it and then get on with your day.

6. Get help!

Sometimes when you’ve lost your mojo, the hardest thing is to reach out to someone for help. However it might be just the thing you need to get your mojo reawakened and back on track.
